_Come to Community Meetings to learn about the planned leasing for oil and gas development of 22 parcels/30,000 acres of land surrounding the towns of Paonia, Hotchkiss, and Crawford and the Paonia Reservoir and determine the impact on you.

Local organizations will be hosting three public meetings in Hotchkiss, Crawford and Paonia to answer questions and gather input for the January 9 deadline for public comments.  The meetings will include a presentation on BLM's oil and gas leasing process as well as detailed maps and parcel descriptions.  Comments will be captured and submitted to the BLM.  These leases have the potential to change the North Fork Valley forever.  Please come to one of the three meetings and let your voice be heard!

Come and tell us how a nearby parcel to be leased could impact you, your family, your property, your water and your livelihood.

We will have over-sized maps showing exact parcel locations.

Come prepared to share specific concerns about specific parcels.

We will provide suggestions to make your comment letters as effective as possible.

The meetings will be hosted by:

Alfred Eames Cellars invites you to their 5th annual Barrel and Wine Tasting on Dec 3 & 4 from noon to 5PM. Taste the wines of previous vintages and sample the 2010 wine from the Barrel.

They’ll have hors d’oeuvres aplenty and Joe and Corrine Coniglio will be back this year with their scrumptious cheeses.

The Madrigal Choir will again grace the cellar with celestial harmonics to send everyone and the wine into the New Year on a good note.
